Some very nice BEFORE detail pictures of Richard Rowlands 1959 LeBaron (from Early 2011)
Here’s what Richard had to say about his recent acquisition:
I’m currently cleaning up a beautiful, all original 1959 Imperial LeBaron Hardtop that I found on the club classifieds. It has been stored in a dry warm garage since 1976 and it is amazing. Everything works and everything is in unbelievable, time capsule condition. I’ve attached a couple of pics for you to see but will send some nice pics for posting soon. I’m trying to get it ready for the CPW Spring Fling car show here in SoCal in April 2011.

Owned by Jonathan Brunelle in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada
Jonathan’s Grandfather saved this car from the scrap yard when Jonatan was just 3 years old. It has been a project that he, his Father and Grandfather have been working on since Jonathan was a child. His Grandfather passed a few years ago. Jonathan now owns the car and does a bit of work to it here and there.

#733 LeBaron 4 Door Hardtop
Owned by Seppo Piki in Finland
This car was sold new in Pomona by W R Shadoroff the original owner traded in a 1956 Imperial. Seppo still has the original paperwork (see photos below). Sticker price was $8200.00. Currently the car has 86,000 original miles. Very option loaded car with the exception of not having Silvercrest roof and True Level Air suspension.
Seppo also has the original factory warranty paperwork. I have not seen that before, pretty cool.

Some additional Info:
The restoration of my car used some metalwork from a parts car, a 1959 Crown in rough shape. It had a dealer emblem “Beaudry’s Tucson” on the Flitesweep trunk lid. I included a photo of this car and the VIN plate. It went to the crusher after giving up parts for my car although I kept quite a few parts – glass, doors, trunk lid, torsion bars, etc.
I have a friend in New Mexico who owns a 1959 LeBaron hardtop. I’ll see if he can provide me with info about it. I know it is pretty well loaded: dual A/C, Silvercrest Landau, etc.

Charlie Hansen
