#4812 Crown Convertible
Owned by Seppo Piki in Finland
Seppo had owned two of these beauties. They were identical to each other. He sold one to someone in the Los Angeles area and regrets letting it go. The Convertible he sold vin number ended in 4810 so Seppo believes they made at least three identical, his two and the one in between his vin numbers ( VIN #’s 4810, 4811, 4812 ) all the same at the factory. Hopefully it will surface and Seppo can at least know what happened to it. The description of his Convertibles matches those of the Shriners Convertibles and since they are consecutive VIN numbers I believe his Convertibles are 2 of the 23 Shriners cars ordered, all at the same time, exclusively for the Shriners of Omaha in Nebraska. The link below is the Shriners, Imps of Omaha story. This would resolve the mystery of what VIN number range the cars were in. Seppo is looking in to getting the original Production Ticket for his cars, from Chrysler Historical, that should shed some light on where the car was to be sent from the factory.
